Default look what I found in my fuel tank its like its internally sumped

So I was stripping the gas tank down on the 95 today with the intentions of letting it air out a while so I can cut a hole in it for a fuel sump. I've put a pump in it before and I sort of remembered there being a little bit of internally baffling but I didn't remember it being like this. I guess it makes sense because the pre 98s didn't have the bucket made on the fuel pump module, it was just a pump and socket and sender hanging down in the tank. Anyway this is what I found. Its open at opposites corners on both ends. Would this act as a sump or sorts or do I need to go ahead and install an actual sump at the back of the tank? I'm trying to avoid those starving at 1/4 tank issues but honestly I think the stock setup might actually work as is.

We use to have a 1998 2500 Suburban that would run dry when turning with a low fuel level, I noticed on my 04 that it has a bucket that the pump sits it...when it runs out the tank is totally empty lol

I'm pretty sure 98 was the first year for a "fuel pump module" as opposed to the traditional pump and sender assembly that just hung out in the tank. From what I've seen the pump module setups all have their own little bucket as part of the pump.

What I'm wondering is if the tray or bucket if you will thats inside my tank will work well enough to keep fuel around the pump sock? I'm planning on running dual 044s whether they be external or internal. For the sake of my eyebrows I would just assume not go cutting on the tank if I don't really need to.
