Default Lame Question, about a pulley kit

What do they do exactly that increase power? simply run easier? faster? or what?

thanks

A larger crank pulley spins the accessories slower, taking less energy from the crank, freeing up HP otherwise used to turn the waterpump, altenator etc.

underdrive pulleys reduce drag and spin slower and its just a crank pulley, the overdrive alt. pulley is so you get the same voltage from the alt.

They just slow down speed to the accessories in effect sending less power to them and freeing up power. Sometimes they are lighter than stock pulley also, but I don't know if that holds true for units with the balancer as part of the pulley.

They put less strain on the motor. It is kinda like changing the gear ratios. It is useing larger pullys to make it easier for the engine to turn them. Look at it like a 10 speed bike. The larger the rear gear(pully) the easier it is to peddel the bike, but it goes slower. Same concept. The easier the engine has to work to turn you accesiories, the more power you can get to your wheels.
