OK it was an 84' Crossfire the slowest Corvet ever. But, thats not the point. I killed a Vet, Baby.

We pulled up to a light it turned green we launched together with just a hint of tire spin. The road ahead turned into a lone lane. Just as I came in to my power band and I pulled on the Corvet hard and costed into the lane ahead of the vet.

 

Good kill.... even if was the slowest Vette ever made.....

 

Beleive me an 84 Vette is a rocket ship compaired to a base 78 or 79 model.Good kill

 

Good Kill - I had an 80 L82 (before cross fire) and it was slooooow. A bolt on 5.0 mustang could beat me. That is until Mr. Edlebrock and Comp Cams came to my aide!

I'll bet that guy would trade that vette in if he found out that not only did he loose to a truck, but a 4.8 at that! NICE!

 

I think the 76 or 77 base model was the worst, 165hp!?!?! Even my 79 L82 only had 225hp stock. Of course, that engine is long gone....
I can't believe the vette even tried it....

 

I'd love to have one of those 84's just to have the cool digital dash and sh*t. They're cheap too cause everyone wanted 85+ for TPI.

 

I've got an 81 Corvette, the first and only year for the L81 engine (I don't know what that means though).

Last week I beat my friends 78 Corvette. I was scared of getting beat because a new 350 was just put in there, but with no mods and a mild cam. I bearly pulled on him until around 40, then I just jumped ahead by several cars until I shut it down around 95
