Just one more inch!!!
#1
I am looking for some opinions. I want to go one more inch lower in the front of my truck which has nothing done to it suspension wise and I want to go 2 more inches in the rear to get a total of 1/4 drop but that should put me pretty close to level. I would like to run coilovers in the front but won't that eliminate the one inch drop spring in the front that I normally would do? So then what would be the game plan to achieve one inch of drop in the front.
Here are my measurements currently
1. Rear Bumper to Floor - 13"
2. Driver Rear Wheel to Fender - 19"
3. Driver Front Wheel to Fender - 18.5"
4 Front Bumper to Floor - 9"
5. Passenger Rear Wheel to Fender - 19.5"
6. Passenger Front Wheel to fender 18.5"
I emailed Atomic as him and I have been in conversation about suspension and I have had a back and forth about what we are going to do. This is my newest idea as I have decided no 2" front drop as that will be much to low but I think just one more inch in the front and 2 more in the back will be perfection. Final submission I'm for serious this time.

Yeah coil overs going on 100% hence why Ive been talking to Atomic about everything. Fort Worth just has a ton of potholes and shitty roads so I dont really want to deal with that. If I went two inches in the front Id need to do 3 more in the back to get a good level since Im about an inch of rake at the moment

I've been dodging pot holes and neglected roads for 48 years behind the wheel. There are streets around me I refuse to drive on and the half decent ones you learn where the problem areas are. If you must travel on the more fk'd up ones that kinda sucks. If you go with a coil over setup you'll have a much smoother ride than the typical drop methods. That said DFW has the most lowered GMT-800 trucks in the whole wide world... and that's a fact! ✔✔
P.S. A fat girlfriend could achieve your 1" goal but Taco Bell will out cost a custom suspension in the long run.

Also yes DFW does have a lot of lowered GMT-800s lmfao. I'm just trying to pick a ride height at this point that is something still practical yet sleek. Where I live I am kind of forced to drive on some trashy roads so kinda screwed

On my 2001 I'm running a 2\4 drop on mine with 22 inch wheels and 285\45\22 bridgestones and it rides really good!! Might be an angle to look at if you have alot of rough roads. Also I should mention i'm running adjustable QA1 shocks as well to further tune the ride.
