it just cranks,no start.

Am I correct in thinking that the stock return-less systems don't have a check-valve in the fuel lines and the return style do? If it's returnless their could be a small leak that would allow the fuel lines to drain back into the tank and be dry in the morning?
Just a thought, correct me if I'm wrong.

His should be return style, and even if that is what is happening if the fuel pump is good it will supply enough fuel to start it.

Gotcha. When I originally built a return system without a check-valve it would take about 5 seconds of cranking till the fuel pressure was high enough to light off the motor.

talk to the person i bought it off of and he said that its a new...."get this" checker auto pump he had put in 5 months ago.so i went and bought a new stock pump from the local dealership and will be putting it in this sunday.he said he didn't like the stock gm pumps because they are junk,but it lasted him 123,663 miles before it went out.

Checker auto parts is a parts house which is now o'reilys.if i go aftermarket i go to napa.checker parts were junk parts (imo) made overseas.
