Default johny lightning hasn't beed doing much lately

not really sure what is up with him but i remember in the spring people talking about him busting out some 8's. right now his best time apears to be a 9.7. i know i am a ways from that time but it is turbo weather now so who knows.

the calculator i am using says

4970lbs with 960rwhp = 10.08@135

thats prety close to my best et, now drop 100lbs and ad 100hp and that puts me at

4870lbs with 1060rwhp = 9.68@140

hmmmm i wonder if it could do it?

I think the truck has it in it. You need to get a fiberglass bed on your truck like the L's, have that would be the weight savings rite there. Is he runnin a nbs style lightning. It has been a good while since I have seen or heard about him. The one thing is is your truck doesn't look like a race truck, so good luck. Whats up with your plans on switching rides

Have you thought about different gears? 3.23? Youve got enough power

Last I heard, Johnny was back-halving the truck with a streamlined (chopped) cab. He had extensive suspension mods last year. No pics anywhere I can find.

I haven't talked to him personally in about 2 years, but don't believe he could make the drag tour

Probably couldnt drive the damn thing on the road the whole way either. The pic with parish pulling the trailer loaded down with parts and tools says it all.
