Default Intense evening!!!!

Well let me start off by saying i had one of those nightmare days!!! ok so i get home from work and start planning the converter re-swap and put my hid fogs back in since i finally got another ballast after one decided to fall off and go under the tire and rip all the wire off the bulb. most everyone knows that swapping converters isnt a nice job and when your **** about placement of things like ballasts its not nice either when you cant get it to mount right. finally got the ballasts mounted and started on the tranny, right off the bat i cut my finger wide open. sooo i cus and cus and cus some more remember im already agrivated about mounting the ballasts. while cusing i see that my exhaust it leaking pretty bad around the end of the header where i clamped the pipes together and cus some more at that..lol! well everything got moving and i was buckling back up and putting in the verter bolts, well i just happened to look over this part while it was sitting on the bench. first bolt started, second started, third crossthreaded...... I let out a big cusin!!!! fought that for an hour and finally got it fixed and then on the way home its shifting soft!!! I hope it learns the tune or the tune learns the converter. all in all i had one hell of a day!!!!!!

after a loose converter swap softer shifts are normal with the same tune.

i know those days too, i had one last friday . got in my car to leave work , got a call that a truck broke down an hour away so back in the work truck . get back 3 hours later. get in my car to hear a mean howl , keep driving . the closer i got to home the worse it got , by the time i was nearly i home i stayed in first and i got stairs from my neighbors, then the low trac light came on , then i knew it was tranny or rear. so call the tow truck , the dumb *** dents my muffler and bends a tip ( magnaflow catback) so i just go inside pissed . got the car back yesterday , broke a pinion on my 02 camaro .

sorry for the hijack i didnt post this one up

nahh man its alright im looking for other stories like mine to help with the anger...

well the tune was for the converter i have i just had to send it out and get a new clutch put in it. so i put the stock verter in for a week and just put the other verter back in and it should have went right back to the setting right?? since it was tuned for it in the first place. maybe a few more times of cranking and stuff it set back

Depending on how your tune is set up, your shift will relearn..... IF you desired shift times are set to zero, then they will not relearn....

Man, sounds like you had one of my days lol...sorry it was a PITA, but at least you got it done. Seems like every time I set out to fix one thing, I find 2 others that need to be addressed

Is it possible that your trans was shifting harder from having the stock verter in it and you got used to it, and now it just feels softer? BTW, what converter and trans mods do you have?
