Default I'm going shopping

Ok. I have figured our that I am "doing preventative maintenance" instead of buying new. (even though the 07 GMC has me hooked )

"Preventative Maintenance" entails the following...

1. Either
a. heads/cam on the stock 5.3 bottom end (120K)
b. used 6.0 for car-parts.com, with a cam.

2. FLT Level 3, Tranny, and a 2500 approx. stall, no matter what engine option I go with.

3. TruTrac, when the factory G80 takes a dump.

4. Suspension Lift
a. 6" susp. either fabtech or superlift
b. 3" body and cranked bars with ford keys (more likely to go with this one)

5. Wheels and tires - undecided. that will depend on the lift.

Any ideas or critiques of what I am planning are wanted. Please let me know if you think one idea is better than another, and why.

is that a level 3 60e or a level 3 80e

i say get the 6.0+cam

gao8302 (or something like that) is selling a 6" skyjacker lift and wheels and tires to go wit it if interested

oh and replace the g80 BEFORE it goes out, when it goes out it ususally takes out the ring and pinion with it

I'd go with the 6.0 and the FLT tranny for sure.

Thats what I was thinkin too. 1500+/- for an old 5.3 with a new H/C

or

$2K+/- + 400 for a cam, in a 6.0 with ALOT less miles than mine currently has.

option 2 sounds better to me.

Oh yeah, and im stickin with the 4L60e, because I have the autotrac, and don't feel like tearing apart the trasfer case to change the input shaft, ( theres a thread on that somewhere).
