Default I want my Radix Insured, but not Insured

Hi, all. I have a question that's been on my mind for awhile dealing with Insurance companies. If I were to say Purchase a Radix S/C (or any other viewable performance part) and told my insurance about it, they would raise my insurance for purchasing speed parts or something like that right? Well, I was wondering, If someone somehow stole or vandilized a Radix S/C that the Insurance company didn't know was installed on the truck, they wouldn't cover me for the loss. So, does anybody know how to get around this? How to have a speed part covered by insurance and not let them know about it?? Just wondering because I'm 16 and am very wary about driving my truck to school because a lot of stuff goes down in the parking lot and I don't want people stealing performance parts off my truck or vandilizing the parts. Thanks!

My insurance company would insure my rims, stereo, even exhaust. But they wouldn't touch anything under the hood.

the odds of them stealing a actual supercharger would be slim.. they would need tools, and a good amount of time. Also, need to break into ur window to open ur hood.

I'm not actually saying they would steal a S/C. But I am saying it's not hard to vandilize it. OK, but what if I had an STS? Now, you can't say that wouldn't be hard to vandilize. I'm just trying to create a scenario to get my point through on the topic

Did your insurance raise the price?

Couple of things

First - check and read your policy

Many companies will allow up to 1k of custom part and equip included in your policy
This custom parts and equip can be anything, wheels, tires, blowers, nitrous, anything.

If you want more coverage - most companies will let you buy more custom parts and equip coverage - normally in blocks of 1k

If you still need more - many companies have agreed price policies
meaning you and the insurance company agree on the value of your truck
when you take out the policy.

Main thing - is know your policy
Also - just because you bought 1k of custom parts does not mean the value of your truck increases by 1k.

man to get anyone of those things off or mess with you would really need to steal the entire truck. I went to school with around 2500 people and I tell you what nobody would mess with it. I did get my truck broken into at my house and come to find out that it was a guy I knew and guess what? He got the beat down of his life and not jsut from me after I got through with him my asian friends who he dicked over and stole stuff from to took care of him. So really just make real good friends with the football team or something and you shouldn't have any problems and if you do someone will see or know something and then it's *** whoopin time. you do it once and it will never happen again in high school. Also this is not to sound mean I was great friends with almost everybody and showed them respect and they showed it back. This one dick fire just crossed the line.

Yeah, all of my friends are pretty cool (bigger and stronger than me) and wouldn't mind helping me in a situation if someone broke into my truck as you mentioned. Nobody messes with my friend John with an 80s CJ Jeep with a 360 powerplant because he doesn't take BS from other people on vandilizing his Jeep.

Dont count on insurance to help you do anything other than lighten your wallet. Ive never had a claim, speeding ticket, or anything. I was in an accident and I handled the damage reimbursement personally so no claim, but I needed to go to the chiropractor to get an evaluation. Thats it. My insurance went up 25%. My truck had iced coffee dumped on it one night right after I detailed it by some high school punks celebrating graduation. I hopped in my vette (I was in the garage and heard everything) and when they stopped thinking they would handle me I proceeded to educate them.
