If you want more coverage - most companies will let you buy more custom parts and equip coverage - normally in blocks of 1k

If you still need more - many companies have agreed price policies
meaning you and the insurance company agree on the value of your truck
when you take out the policy.

Main thing - is know your policy
Also - just because you bought 1k of custom parts does not mean the value of your truck increases by 1k.
Yeah, but it won't just be a regular accessory such as stereo and rims. It will be a "High Performance" Accessory. Meaning me being a teenager the assumed, drive faster, get in more wrecks etc. is put into place and my insurance would probably skyrocket . Oh well, it seems best to let the insurance know nothing of performance parts and deal with it on a personnel level.

My truck had iced coffee dumped on it one night right after I detailed it by some high school punks celebrating graduation. I hopped in my vette (I was in the garage and heard everything) and when they stopped thinking they would handle me I preceeded to educate them.
Education is what teens today need more of

How would anybody know that you have these things unless you go around showing them off? I know a nice, new, shiney SC would be something that I would like to show off but if you are afraid of your truck being vandalized because of it, don't open the hood around everybody.

Trust me, I wouldn't show it off. I'd just like to race everybody . I wouldn't pop my hood though. Another question though- Is it legal for an insurance company to ask you if you have done any performance modifications?

Maybe you should go to a different high school if you have classmates that "might" vandalize your ****.

You might think it would be hard to steal such a componet. But when i was in high school people wold come back to there cars and would be missing tranys, carbs, and otehr such items. These items where from rare or expensive cars and trucks. I went to a 5A high school and in my graduating class we have around 1200-1400 students, so the school in a whole has over 3000 students. needless to say thsi stuff can happen and it was quite funny cause it always happened to the jerks in the school. There was a rumor that the auto tech guys where doing it but no one could prove it and when I ask my best friend which was in auto tech he just laughed. Needlss t say it can happen just highly unlikely.

There is no difference made - custom parts and equip can be anything - does not matter what the part is .
I just fixed a Firebird and had to replace an aftermarket blower.
If you have the coverage - does not matter what the part is.
