Default I test drove a 2006 VHO 6.0

My question is this truck feels slower the a high 14 low 15. It felt like my 5.3 stock. I am at 2000 ft above sea level. My question is I have a 2003 gmc sierra with 5.3 ex cab Z71. I have pulley, long tubes, tune, no cats, true dual, electric fans and run 15.0 @90.36 mph. Would this beat a stock VHO at 2000 ft above sea level. Give me all of your opinions. Thanks , Jared

I am pretty sure the VHO would come out pretty close to your truck. My SS ran a 14.86 when it was stock. Are you wanting to trade your truck in for a VHO? Why not pull your mods and put them on the vho?

Imagine what a tuned, header, pullied VHO would do....... Mid to low 14's????? And the VHO has more room to play than the 5.3....

Ya but for 37,000 sticker price I can throw a lot more money into mine. So are the two wheel drives a lot faster then the awd. Cause there was a 03 SS that ran stock out here at our track and it only ran a 16.04 @ 87 mph. You guys have to remember I am at 2000 ft and with the DA being terrible in the summer. Most days the DA is around 4000 ft. So I think I could pull out A win. Thanks Guys

Who is giving you a $37K sticker??? I got my '05 for $25K. An SS maybe $37K on a bad day, I found a few SS's for $34 loaded jus the other day. The '06 SS is 2wd and so is the VHO so what is the question????? 16.04 for and SS is sad... Even on a 98* day with high humidity at 500 ft I pulled a 15.2 stock...... Something really wrong with 16's....

Mine was stickered at 37,xxx and with employee pricing I got it for 29k and I found a few in black for 27k and 28k. I too have seen an 04 AWD SS with a 150 shot of Nitrous running 15.8s. I never did get to ask the guy what was up with it, instead I assumed something was wrong because an SS is going to do way better than that.

Those guys must be leaving off idle or something and that still is way off. Altitude and DA must be screwing them all up.
