Default I screwed up

Hey guys. 2005 Silverado RCSB just swapped to 5.3. Manual transmission. I was pulling the column out to swap throttle pedals, and I had a brain fart. Like a moron, I forgot to disconnect the battery. As I was pulling out the column, one of the column mounting ears arced against the connector block that sits to the left of the column just under the cluster. I disconnected the battery after that. However, now my truck won’t start. The only thing that comes on the cluster is the battery light. No DIC display. Radio works. No crank. Do not hear fuel pump or throttle body cycle. I checked fuses, didn’t find any popped. Any ideas what to look for? I didn’t see any obvious wiring damage, but it’s 1 am and have about had it for the night. Help is greatly appreciated.

You may have shorted out the ignition switch or multiple relays.

Damn. Would have thought fuses would have protected that stuff.

I don’t see a RAP fuse. But I checked all of the big 30 amp and bigger fuses, put a test light or visually inspected all other fuses. Tested all relays. Swapped out ignition switch. I’ve got nothin.

I did find that with the key held to the start position, I do get power to the crank fuse under the hood. So...there’s that.

Is it possible that I smoked my BCM? This is driving me nuts. There are few things I hate more than electrical work...

There are 2 RAP fuses. Might be labelled something else; MBEC or LBEC specifically.

They are BIG 50A (red) fuses, across the "top" of the fuse block, nearest the engine. RAP = Retained Accessory Power; it's how all the stuff that stays running after you shut off the engine but before you open the door, gets its power.
