Default I Need Help

ok so i was driveing along today and the truck felt like it was sturting when i gave it gas and when it shift gears. i thought it was the trany so i pulled over and checked the fluid in it it is fine. well when i got to where i was going i turned it off and when i came back out and tryed to start the truck it wont start at all it just turns over and thats it. it trys to start but its like its not getting gas so i think it might be the fuel pump that is causing all of this what do yall think all info would very helpfully

has to have fuel and spark to start. see which it doesn't have and find out why. all you need to start is a fuel pressure gauge and a spark checker. 2 cheap tools that are handy to have anyways.truck info will be helpful also.

just push on the little valve on the fuel rail.. if fuel squirts out on ur finger u know its gotta be spark then.. dont need a tool for that one.

Try putting some gas in. GM trucks are known for their sh*tty fuel level sending units.

?? my gas gauge is all fucked up and will read bone dry with a full tank so y would that have anything to do with it?

i dont kno but today i went to start it up just to try it and it started right up and it runs great. cant find anything wrong with it now so i just dont kno

uhh... I think he meant that the tank is empty, but the gauge is saying it has gas.....

It sounds like your fuel pump is failing. This is exactly what my old truck did for awhile until it finally went out. It would spit and sputter one day, then the next day it would run great. Ended up being the fuel pump going out.
