Default How much did you guys spend on rear

What did you spend on rear lsd install? Called Broward Powertrain in Ft.Lauderdale and looks like $800 with Eaton and all the bearings and stuff. keeping same 3.73's. Let me know any other good locations here in south florida.

$800 -$1000 is fair.

Well the only bad thing is they told me it will take from 1-2 days depends on if they have to get back into it I hate leaving my truck over night.

Find somebody else or tell them you don't want to leave it overnight. I had both sets (4wd) changed out in a matter of hours.

Yeah I told them I had no other mode of transportation, thats why Im still looking around.

I got a brand new detroit tru trac of ebay for $390 and then that would leave another $400 for just labor.... thats too expensive. labor for new bearings and gears and lsd should be around $250

yeah, but the Eaton is a bit more...........around the $500+ range and worth it.

Worth it how? I like the design of the Trutrac much better. Not saying the Eaton is bad I just don't see how it is better than a Trutrac.

Yea I don't think the eaton is better then the truetrac, i'd say more people have the trutrac. and I think the same guy on ebay sales the eaton posi with bearings and shims for $465 without that stuff its around $410
