Hid headlights????

Default Hid headlights????

I've been looking to get some hid's in my truck. I just got halo projectors installed now I want some different bulbs.should I get like 6k or 12k bulbs? I live in Alabama so any info would help

Get whatever color you want. If you're looking for max brightness you will want something in the 3500-6000 range. 12000 is basically purple and looks stupid, IMO. I'm using 4500 35W because it's a nice pure white, no blue. Higher wattage tends to wash out the color more, as in they will be less blue.

Alabama? Stay with 4300 or 5000k. The highway patrolmen are notoriously picky about light color.

If you're looking for a kit, I recommend XenonsPlus, top of the line kits (DDM is the cheapest of the cheap).

I have 4500k with 35w ballasts and really enjoy them! I have ran 6000k and 5000k, but really prefer the brightness of the 4500k. The 5000k are a close second. Brightness beats blue any day of the week, don't be a ricer lol

Would it really matter since the projectors angle the light lower than regular head lights? I'm thinking the 6k would since its a bright white

I'm running 6k headlights and 3k fog lights. The 6k have a little bit of a blue tint but are not horrible anything over that just gets to blue and you start to lose visibility. The 3k fog lights are nice because they are yellow and cut the fog great. And I think they look pretty good too. I get a lot of compliments on them.
