No need to take the seat out. Just leave the seat bottom out. But before you disconnect the seat module under the seat bottom, lay the seat back all the way back. Unhook the bottom of the seat cover. Then run your hand up he cover to unhook the Velcro strips that attach to the foam. Once you have it unhooked you can feel and possibly see the burnt spot. I usually find them at the top.
