Header Questions`
I'm going to order a set of Pacesetter LT's next month. I have a few questions in regards to set up.
1. Will MSD superconductor 8.5 wires clear the headers?
2. I'm going to use an ORY, so, when I have my custom tune created, do I delete the down stream O2 sensors? I'd have to, right? Will deleting the sensors effect performance?
3. My truck has what looks like 2 EGR sensors on the passenger side manifold. I'm assuming I need to get the Pacesetter LT's that have the EGR hook ups built in? (in other words, there's no way to delete the EGR's.
4. Would it be wise to go ahead and buy two new upstream O2 sensors and replace them when I do the header install?
Thanks guys!

1. If you haven't bought those wires yet, don't, they are a waste of money. BUT, if you do have them, they should clear. They did on my buddy's truck.
2. Yes , yes, and No, not at all.
3. Probably EGR and AIR system. You can delete both of these systems. You will have to change that in the tune as well so it doesn't throw codes.
4. It couldn't hurt. Depending on your miles, it could be a good time to replace them. They can be a bugger to remove.

my taylor 10.4s are fatter and they fit. one of them touches slightly but it hasn't melted at all and its been almost a yr. delete the rear 02's the egr, and the air. tune all that out. how many miles are on the truck? i had about 50k on mine when i did the headers so i left the stock 02's in. at about 80k now with no issues. it would be easy to do since you are there but if its low miles i wouldnt worry about it.

I'm about to turn 136K on the truck. It's a 2001. I wouldn't even consider any upgrades, but the motor is VERY strong, and well maintained.
I'm going to go ahead and replace the upstream O2's while i'm in there. Thanks for the input guys.
P.S., what's wrong with the MSD wires? I got them because it's time for a tune up, more than anything. Surely they are as good as stock. I've not seen a bad review on them thus far. I have read plenty that say they are no better than stock, but not worse.
