Can I use an ecu and engine harness from a 2004 silverado with 6.0 DBW and 4l80e on my 2006 5.3 with 4l65e ????
I'm still trying to find all replacement electricals for my 06 5.3
Thanks for your help...

What are you trying to do? Are you doing a 6.0 and 4l80 swap in your 06 or trying to find harness and computer to work in a 06 truck with a 5.3 and 4L60e
A 4l80 harness is different without having to change wiring around for the transmission. You need a harness that fits 06-07 classic only in order for it to be a direct fit. There is a possibility 05 will work but not without changing some pins around here and there. 3/4 and 1/2 ton harness' are different due to the trans being different but can be modified if you are good with diagrams and electrical.
The 04 harness and pcm will not work as a direct drop in. I know the pcm svc number is different than the 06 and the TAC module may or may not be the same I err on the side of TAC module not working. The harness will also have to be modified to match the 4l60e and you will have to pull schematics and compare each and every pin at the power distribution center to verify they are all in the correct spot. Ic not you will have to move accordingly to make it work. The 04 also uses a some stuff differently to control the HVAC system than your 06.
If it were mine I would find the exact harness to save yourself a crap ton of heartache when it's time to power it all up.

When I started my project I discovered my wire harness was toast and I did not get the ecm or pedal and tac
....so basicly I need all the stand alone electrical for an 06 5.3 1/2 ton truck motor.1WS6/tamu...you told me what I need to know. I have seen some harnesses listed here...but did not know what's what on harness fitment. I asked that question on the forum...but didn't get any responce.
So you have steered me streight...I'll be looking for all 06 silverado stuff.
Thanks again
