Default Got some new taillights today.

So we got some new work trucks in at work today (06-7 chevy 3/4tons)and they immediately swapped the beds out for flatbeds. So i traded/stole a set of the tail light and put them on mine. Going to have to do a little trimming so I can get the lights to fit in them right. Also what is the little bitty light at the bottom for? My 05 doesn't have that little light so I have an empty hole.

The little light also blinks when the blinker is turned and it synchronizes with the big turn signal bulb. Only the 03+ chevy's have that little light. Since the GMC still use the same old fashion tails that's why you have the empty hole.

You can get the new chevy taillight harness and put it on your GMC and it will work in your truck.

What's different on the beds that requires trimming to allow the tail lights to fit?
Can you post a pic of them?

Jim

no trimming on the bed...on the back of the light...the plastic was molded different or something...I'm kind of embarassed to take pics of it right now. It looks funny with the stock wheels and tires on it...where and how much for the chevy harness?

Hmm, I never had to do any trimming on mine, weird.

Hell, just go steal, I mean BORROW the taillight harness too.
