so that is the trick!!! last time i did my "BIG" burn out in the water and when the light turned green my truck seemed like it was just sitting there, I burned out alot!!! and ran a 18.9!!! ouch.... i was really mad and did not understand why, the next time I lowered the pressure on my tires and I believe I did the burnout right in between the wet and dry and I did a much better time, 15.5!!! not bad for a stock truck with headers

if you are running street tires, i recommend staying out of the water. if you can drive around the water. you can back up to where some water will be on the track and start to burnout then as you are spinning let go of the break till you start to move forward then let out of the gas. that is how i do it and it works for me with street tires. granted, here lately i am getting wheel hop and some spin but it's better than being wet or dirty.

The last two runs I avoided the water entirely, and did a nice dry burnout. It dead hooked at 1000rpm launch, and I was going to try a higher rpm launch the last pass, but that damn Ford blew his tranny and we didn't get to make another pass.

thats what a couple of my buddies did in there cars when we went to the track for the first time. it was funny as hell to see a 2003 eclipse gts 3.0 run a 20 sec 1/4 mile. whats even funnier is he has never been back to the track since that day. hes a ***** and says he doesn't like it. 15.5 was his best time that day.

SLOWPROCESS: wheres that video at i want to see your run!!

I'll have them up soon. I have the vid of my side to side motion when Bigkid smoked me, me and Goshawk23 running, two runs of TnTrk and Goshawk23, and my run with the Mach 1. I have a crappy hi8 camera and I have to use this thing to convert them to digital. It takes me a little while to get them setup with decent quality, while keeping the file size down. I worked on them alittle last night, and if I don't go to the shop tonight, I'll have them up.
