Default Keeping you guys in the loop, weighed my 04 Ram today.

As the title says, I weighed my truck today. I went to the local landfill to see if they would do it since it isn't open to the public, the guy was cool and did for no charge. My truck is an 04 SLT 4x2 Quad Cab Ram with a Hemi, factory 20's and 275/60's, tow package, etc., pretty much loaded. I've added a soft tonneau, nerf bars and a rubber bed mat. The truck was in full street trim with 2/3's of a tank of gas. OK, here it is! The truck weighed 5,240 lbs! With me in it, it weighs 5,470 lbs. (I'm 6' 3" and 230 lbs.) when I race at the track (a little less with a 1/4 tank). Just thought I would let you all know.
Jim

Man .. that thing's a fatty. This is a QC though isn't it? I guess that's not to terribly bad considering that.

I did mine and ran it today at Hallsville, little under 4800 with me in it and 1/4 tank of gas, regular cab stripper with 17's I also got my best 60' 2.15 on factory tires with 3.55 peg leg and ran a 14.60 at 91.67 and 14.63 and 64 all over 90mph. I had some good air today and I think the Flowmaster 50 helped it. I am very happy for a truck with just a cat back.

Good times, I'll bet that pegleg won't hook like that on the street.

Very nice times indeed. How was the track? I'm still capped at 90 with my vibrating drivetrain. I think rebuilding the trans crossmember is in order, but it's gonna be put off for a while I have a feeling.

Isn't that similar to an SS? Maybe an SS is slightly less, but it's not a QC. I checked the stats on my Denali. It shows around 5600lbs. Hard to believe, it doesn't feel THAT heavy!

My cousins RCSB 2wd dodge with hemi weighs 4700 and my RCSB 4wd GMC weighs just under 4700. Those dodges are heavy.
