40# total? That's not alot, but it's from the right end. Every bit helps.

U found 1 place wants $20K, & another wants $22K?

That's cause u are payin for that very mold.

Now if he just said $1500-1800, I mighta bit. No buyin 2 covers either. And also, the weight still comes off the wrong end on a bedcover.

If I had my own shop, I might make all this crap. No might, I would. In fact, I've been checkin on somethin these last 2 days along these lines, but smaller scale. Gonna test my skills.

No, the one place was $20k/mold, so I estimated $22k/fender

I've seen guys doing their owns parts before; if they were getting painted anyway, they wouldn't need a show-quality weave.

John, there is a place out in cumberland called Class Glass and Performance that will make whatever you want, they just need the part that you want copied. I was quoted $200 for my bumper, which isn't bad at all. They don't charge you for the mold unless you want a one off part that no one else can have.

Go drop a pair of 88-98 fenders off there for me. And a cowl induction hood. Lol

Well that sucks, it has been about 6 months since I was quoted, they must have been slow then. I'll probably end up making my bumper myself anyway, fiberglass is easy enough.
