Gauge cluster with trans temp guage
#1
Is there a gauge cluster that will fit my 03 Z-71 with a trans temp gauge? And if so is my truck wired up for it or will I have to get a seperate gauge? I test drove a Dmax and I saw it had the trans temp gauge for the Allison and thought it would be nice to have. I'm trying to get a game plan for improving my 60E for towing and hopefully sometime in the future for FI if the money comes around.

The Silverado 2500 cluster should have tranny temp. May want to ask moregrip. I ordered a 2500 Avalanche cluster to get the tranny temp gauge. The sensor was already hooked up, all I had to do was plug in the cluster and it worked.

Thanks for the replies. One more question. What about the odometer? Will it have to be reprogrammed with the correct mileage? I've looked around for one on the sponser list but havent found any. Is this best found at a dealership or salvage yard?

you can either have it reprogrammed or you get a sticker from where you buy it (you might can get them at the dealership im not sure). And on the sticker you write down your mileage on the stock cluster then stick it somewhere. Im not sure where you go to get it reprogrammed, the dealership might be able to send it out.
The best place to buy a cluster is off ebay IMO, if you can find one at a junkyard thats relatively cheap I'd buy it. Only thing i would be worried about from junkyard is it maybe not working. Ive been to some websites that sell the clusters but I cant member the name of it, Im sure someone will chime in with a website or two.
edit: turns out usspeedo sells complete clusters. And they will program the mileage before they ship it, you just have to contact them for pricing. US Speedo replacement clusters
