Thats how we do ours. Been selling replacement clusters for 3 years and we program the mileage, hours and vin into the new one and do it with a tech II.

Default Milege Correction Sticker or Cluster Reprogram

Not sure what my options are at this point, but I need to get my mileage officially corrected one way or another.

I recently swapped to an escalade cluster that had 45k miles on it. My truck had over 100k. I've heard once the cluster has miles on it, it can't be re-programmed.

I've also heard about the mileage correction sticker.

Do I have any other options at this point? I'm trying to get my truck registered outside of Texas so I don't have to worry about inspections and it's going to throw up a big red flag when my cluster shows 70k miles less than what my truck has.

EDIT-Also called the local dealership and he told me it couldn't be done, although he didn't seem very knowledgeable.

Not sure who merged this into this thread for me, but I've already been looking around.

I called the dealership and they either are idiots or aren't willing to do it.

My cluster has 45k mileage on it and not 0 which I've read is harder to do.

EDIT-My real question, is how do I get a "door sticker?" I keep reading all about them, but I can't find any actual info or a picture on the web.

The GM dealer parts dept can order the sticker for you. I believe it is called a federal odometer statement sticker, iirc.

Just called my buddy at my local dealer, the part number for your sticker is 10443718.
