Angry Fuel Pump issue?

So, I was heading home a short while ago, truck felt like it lost all power. I coasted a little ways, it seemed to pick back up and felt 'normal'. I parked at the grocery and when I came out, it wouldn't start. It felt like it was trying but wouldn't.

I call my wife, she comes and gets me and I get my fuel pressure gauge and stick it on rail, KO and it's reads 58psi. I crank it and it fires right up. I did this 2-3 times.

It's in the driveway now but could it be the fuel pump? What are my options?

No codes or messages on the DIC.

As far as I know it's the factory FF pump. Truck has about 225k on it. I got the truck when it was at 130k.

1. Walbro 450?

2. Hellcat pump?

3. Replacement factory FF pump? (that's what's in there now)

If I do 1 or 2, what's involved with the bucket? Do I need a hotwire kit or are there other options? Do I convert to a return system for future use? What is the part list for that?

Thanks in advance everyone.

Sounds like if could be the fuel pump but normally if it shuts off you won't be able to start it unless you smack the tank a few times to get you home.

It was odd for sure.

At this point, I don’t trust it and am doing a maintenance replacement of the FP assembly and relay.

Which pump did you install? Have a part number?

I need to put my fuel bucket back to stock and want a quality assembly, not some parts store junk
