Default Finally gettin a Frickin AutoZone close by!

There's one being built about 2 miles from where I live...right on my way home from work! Funny thing is there's a fairly new Strauss Auto right across the street from it...but they never seem to have what I need...hopefully the Zone will have a better selection

good luck to you. most of the time i go shopping for stuff around here people are asking me what it is and what it does. i can give them part numbers and they still look at me with a dumbfounded look in their eyes. case in point. i went to oreily's. told the guy i need 8 NGK TR6 plugs. he looks it up in the computer. says NGK doesn't make them. I said, yes they do. if you don't have them let me know. He says, 8TR6 plugs. NGK's plugs start with a letter, not a number. I said no ****, i need 8 as in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 spark plugs with the code of TR6. Talk about feeling dumb as dog **** afterwards. i was amused.

Well not to **** off people that work threir that are members but I agree with you goshawk23 they all seem to be retarded even if you tell them exactly what you need. I have bought stuff from AZ and then gone back and they say we don’t carry that so I asked when did you stop and they said we never did. Oreily's same thing not exactly but point is good luck to with your new AZ going up. Sometimes very rare but sometimes you can walk in and get what you want without a hassle. But I stress SOMETIMES!!

Well autozone is better than nothing. We have one about 10 min from my house run by women and all there are is girls in there who don't know jack crap about cars. I had to go in there with the parts number I got on monroes website to get shocks because they couldn't find them. I swear this has happened to me 2 times now in that store, looking for a wheel bearing and shocks. They ask make model blah blah then she askes me if my truck is front wheel drive. I almost walked out of the store. I hate it when they ask me things like are you sure it's not 4 wheel drive or whatever. I mean yeah it's my truck I'm pretty sure I know what's in it.

Yea...I hate when I get asked that one! Well, at least with an AZ across the street from a Strauss, I double my chances...and they're open late. The NAPA that's right around the block is closed by the time that I get off work. When all else fails, there's always the internet if you don't need the part immediately

They just opened an Advance near me, what jokers. Gave them exact part numbers on 3 parts, and they still couldnt do it w/o application. I finally asked the manger to just go find the parts because "A S10 never came with a V8", he finally went back and looked and got me the parts.
The Auto zone by me is waayy better, they have at least one guy who knows what he is doing. The rest are women who are clueless.

Aint that the truth! There are some good people at some of these stores, but they also have some dumbasses. It i shard to support a car addiction on what they start paying, so it is hard to keep good car people.
