Default Extended cab 5.8 bed..

Wasn't sure if it was like seeing big foot or the lockness monster. But saw a truck the other night that was extended cab 5.8 bed? First I've seen of one. And talked to the owner and it's all original. Anyone have any good pictures of any of these? I should have gotten one. Definitely something you don't see every day

In 05-06 you could get just about any weird combo you could dream up. There is 1 Extended cab with a 5.8 bed near me.

It's a real thing, was a configurable option according to the website back in 05-ish.

They look sick as hell in a crew config with long travel. There was a build on either gmfs or DR where someone did one of those up.

I always called them a "California short" but for the life of me cannot remember where I picked that moniker up

I got my hands on one recently; real happy with it as afforded the additional space in my garage and smaller turning radius. She's a 2006- yes- those are 2007 wheels.......

have one that lives around me
first time I seen it I had to do a double take, ended up going home and looking on line and sure enough it was a factory option

Yes, It's the same 5.8 Ft bed used on the 1500 Crew Cab.

It could be done but the frames and back of the cabs/floors are different on the factory extended cab trucks.

Sorry, I don't have pictures.
