Is it possible to remove the EVAP system off our trucks? I have a 99 5.3 that is throwing a code. Thanks for the input.

So I can remove the EVAP control solenoid, purge solenoid, and charcoal canister? What would be a good way to plug the hole in the intake?

is EVAP the same thing as EGR? takes exaughst from the manifold and puts it in the intake, is what i know EGR to be.

if so i used an expandable rubber pipe plug to fill the 2'' hole in the side of the intake on my 99.

I would love to, but at the moment my modded truck is in the paint shop. I'll see what I can come up with though.

Thanks! Are you talking about plugging the line or the actual hole in the intake? It looks to be a bit smaller than a spark plug?

The EVAP and EGR are 2 different things, you are correct on the EGR, but the EVAP takes the pressurized gas vapors from your tank and shoots them back into your intake, thru the small solenoid and the front of the intake.
