Im assuming you drilled a little hole in the efan shroud to pass it through? So its almost like zip ties but cleaner. Looks good. What's the specific name of those tabs/ties so I can go buy some.

No there is already some holes in the corners of the fans IIRC, but I did have to drill 2 I think.. I couldn't tell you the name, other then trans cooler ties or fastners.. I can't even remember if I bought them with something or if they came with my tru-cool trans cooler..

No idea you just posted that haha. Someone was just asking me about my fans in a PM so I sent you the info. I went 05 factory setup because I like the look a lot better than anything else I saw. They aren't the cheapest route, but I feel it was 100% worth it. Blackbear turned the fans on. As for the size it's the larger radiator 32" or 34" out of an 05 truck. Blackbear harness to connect them.

That was prolly me. I sent that after you PM'd me.

budhayes3, I've got a line on some '05 efans. I'll be goin to look em over in a few hrs. It's from a 50k Silvy hit in front, but I was told fans are OK. We'll soon see. Also checked on a 145A alt. Apparently comes in 2 versions, but I'm clueless as to which stytle fits my app.

I was up in the air on which way to go for fans, but this won't cost much more than some LS1 fans. Not sure if I need complimentary shroud or not. Thoughts?

Here's a shot of my 05 fans Tom, AFAIK, you need the larger radiator for sure...for one thing, the 05 fans and 28" rad bolt in to the same place. If you got past that somehow, the fans wouldn't be totally flush, and would extend out past the sides of the radiator.

I meant to put this pic in last night, but forgot.

I'll try to give you a call within the next half hour, I don't have my phone on me right now.

My first Efan setup was the LT1 Efans.. worked great but made bad noises haha... Got LS1 motors to replace the LT1 motors since that was the cheapest route, go figure..

I ran those for about 2 years with no problems. Towing Rossp's wrecked 05 Silverado home my ECTs were up to around 205..

Traded him my 28" rad and LS1 Fans for the 34" rad and Fans.. did the swap when i got home and now towing the ECTs barely break 180.

The 34" rad and Efans bolt right up.. theres already holes in the Radiator Support that everything goes to. so yea factory stuff looks factory

I reused my old harness and i had bought a 145A alternator from USABodyguard awhile back so i threw that on there while i was working on it that day..

I had a single 30A fuse on the LS1 fans, never had a problem.. First time the 34" fans come on it popped that fuse.. so i rewired the harness with 10ga wire and used a 30A fuse for each motor and no problems.

34" radiator/fans are goin to be your best bet hands down if you want to spend the money that is..
