Ls1.. They are cheap and fit the stock radi almost as well as a factory would. They are, will cool just as good as the bigger ones, no need to change the bigger radi for them.. ls1 fans are the same Camaro-firebird-vette

Fans off ebay 80 bucks

Nelson harness 75 bucks

For those that have tuned their own, & obviously know how to better than me, what temps on/off did u set fans at?

Anybody have their tables for on/off that they used? Whippled496 had some IIRC. Where should Fan1 turn on/off in relation to Fan2?

I know if ya do it @ wrong temps, they'll run constantly.

I'll be using HPT if that helps.

I found a 160* T-stat w/. a lil searchin at a good price. I'll be snaggin that in the next 2 days.

I went with the LS1 fans. I got mine off of ebay for around 120. It came off of a 2002 SS Camaro with low miles. I made my own harness for 30-45, but that includes 2 manual switches and 2 indicator lights in the cab. If you have any general electrical knowledge and have time then making a harness is easy. Go with the 2 pin option when it comes to controlling your fans.

You've got a real sano install there!

SilverDog, I wouldn't where to begin on makin a new harness. What gauge, length, colors of wire? Got pics of those manual switches? As for indicator lites, I'm envisioning some rocker switches, right?
Explain 2 pin option?

Do I need relays of some kind?

Sorry for all the questions, but if I can make my own, it'd be great since I don't have a lot of $.

I don't want to clutter your thread up with pictures so here is a small writeup I did.

I'm not a fan of rocker switches, I went with something alittle more stock.
Color of the wire doesn't matter but it helps with identification. When it comes to gauge go with something that can handle the proper amperage(10amp trigger, 40amp power).
