Silvy6.0, ya I looked on Ebay before I called any yards. Ebay had 2, 1 was goin for $265, & the other guy ~$450. Anyway, I wrote down #'s for 3 yards I dealt w/. before. I called my favorite 1st, & when he said they had a vehicle just come in, I said details. A '05 Suburban 5.3 hit in front( that's why I had to see em 1st)
I checked em out, just a lil road crud.
$150 & they were mine. The radiator didn't have the oil cooler, so I still gotta come up w/. that.
Then went to Katech & snagged a 160* T-stat for under $26.
Now, I just gotta get ahold of Blackbear or Nelson. I don't think I'll try to build my own harness.
Oh ya, for those that did '05 efans, what belt do I need?

My first Efan setup was the LT1 Efans.. worked great but made bad noises haha... Got LS1 motors to replace the LT1 motors since that was the cheapest route, go figure..
I ran those for about 2 years with no problems. Towing Rossp's wrecked 05 Silverado home my ECTs were up to around 205..
Traded him my 28" rad and LS1 Fans for the 34" rad and Fans.. did the swap when i got home and now towing the ECTs barely break 180.
The 34" rad and Efans bolt right up.. theres already holes in the Radiator Support that everything goes to. so yea factory stuff looks factory
I reused my old harness and i had bought a 145A alternator from USABodyguard awhile back so i threw that on there while i was working on it that day..
I had a single 30A fuse on the LS1 fans, never had a problem.. First time the 34" fans come on it popped that fuse.. so i rewired the harness with 10ga wire and used a 30A fuse for each motor and no problems.
34" radiator/fans are goin to be your best bet hands down if you want to spend the money that is..

I also did the BB mod a couple years ago,, so 205 was high enough for me,, its not over heating but still.. it usually runs about 180ish depends on ambient temp..
now with the 34" radiator it runs about 15* cooler than it use to..
goin home from a friends house the other night it was about 48* and my ECT was 151 haha ive seen it as low as 145 cruising down the interstate..
the 05+ Efans move a ton of are compared to the LS1 Efans.

Billy or John, anybody here's my problem, I called Radiator Barn. I don't know what radiator to order to work w/. my '05 Fans. Do I need 1 from a 5.3 or a 6L? If so, what yr? I have 5 connections on the Pass. side. From top-bottom. A 1/2" hose marked "RAD". The 2nd is engine oil? cooler line. The middle is for TB coolant warmup to prevent icing, #4 is the other engine oil? cooler, #5 is the big radiator hose.
I'm hearin on a 6L the coolant lines are 2 on the left & 2 on the right.
I have both tranny & engine oil coolers. IIRC, it's option code KC6. Correct?

Went to local Chevy dealer, cause I wanted to see w/. my own eyes what I needed in a radiator, no offense. Thought I had an oil cooler cause I thought it came as part of the Trailing Pkg. Turns out I was mistaken after I saw a used 03 Burb 2500. I saw those monster oil cooler lines on the driver's side.
Inquired to verify they were for oil cooler, & found out I don't have an oil cooler.
Then I saw an '05 Silvy.
After that I felt relieved on gettin the right radiator from the place Billy told me bout.
Just waitin on the rest of my parts. So I have my water pump gaskets (the whole reason I'm gonna tear into it in the 1st place)
, to which brought me to where I'm at now. Also have a 160* T-stat, & my '05 Efans from a '05 Surburban w/ 50k.
Ordered today from Justin @ Blackbear his efan harness & pulley. Went w/. the 2pin style harness thru his & others suggestion.
New radiator is on the way too.
Hopefully, all is here by weekend. Then it's my labor & wiring, & I'll tune w/. HPTuners.
