What are those guys thinking?
How is their thinking any different from yours? Some guys claim their Hemi can beat a 5.3L, your saying they can't. Seems about the same to me!

No one is going to leave there truck stock just to race a Hemi. Were going to mod the hell out of them cuz we can. When Hemi has an aftermarket all you guys will mod the hell out of your Hemis, and come after us real quick. This time next year we may be chasing Hemis. Fact is both the LS motors and the Hemi are high reving high hp motors. Its all on what you can buy to put on it from there.
and what you can afford

imo that truck does look good with a few appearance packages they have and i like the potential of the engine thats in it. i just don't like some of the attitudes of the people on DTW. i used to go look and read, occasionally point out a myth ab out our trucks and recieved all kinds of flak. there are a few items available in the aftermarket. but i know, not having tuning is the major factor.

I like the Dodge trucks....I like the way they look, they ride real nice, and I'm sure the Hemi makes good power....but for me, I'm just not a Dodge guy. I give Dodge props for making their concept cars and not just BSing around about them for years (as chevy has done), and I think they have some BadAss looking cars, ie. Viper, Prowler, Ram, even the Crossfire....but again, I guess it was the way I was raised...I just can't buy one. (Of course, I really never amounted to anything anyway). I'd own a Dodge Ram before I owned some Honda Civic with a "intake" and "exhaust" that wouldn't run a 14.xxx off a cliff! I think Jap cars are nice daily drivers....but not race cars.

true true. i had a salesman try to put me in the 02 ram when they first came out. i was tempted but they wanted 32K for it. I said no thanks and went to pick up my current truck. of which, i have been more than happy with. i am like you, i just can't make myself buy a dodge. once again, props to dodge for making bold statements by building the styled vehicles that are in production.

Not a troll here, but I don't post often but visit often!...Anyway, I am member of both boards, and like any other board, each think thiers is the best and all the rest are crap. That is a battle that will never be over.

However, I do think stock for stock the Hemi is faster! :-)

Stock for stock the hemi isn't faster! It may make more power but power to weight ratio sux for the Dodge. Big fat slow pigs! I watched a 600 HP special edition of the srt10 truck run a best of 12.8x's @109 last week. Put 600 HP in a sigle cab chev truck, and watch it run 10's. You dodge boys just keep on thinking your fast, cause its so funny to put an *** whippin on one and then see the guys face when its over. I don't have anything against Hemi owners, but most them really think they are fast. I went to Houston last week and had a guy in a lifted 4wd crew cab 2500 w/hemi rev at me then take off hard like we were racing. It was too funny!
