The overload spring will give you a 1/2" max - maybe
It will haul things just fine
but you will not be able to overload it or haul as much

The adjustables are avail from AIM - BEWARE ( problem seller & products )
Did you see how small that point of adjustment is.
I have a 2" bell tech shackle on both trucks
and removed the helper on both trucks.
The 91 has 125k on it with no problems

You would end up with a 6" drop in the rear and have to notch the frame

The leaf spring kits works with the OE shackles - the drop is in the springs
The hanger/shackle kit is relocated frt hangers and your 2" shackles..

Yeah, he's right, the shackles would make your rear end ride against the frame! Don't do it. I have the Hotchkis kit, and was still thinking of c-notching the frame, then welding some backing plates on it, to make it stronger than factory. I have had my rear axle bounce off the frame bumpers a few times with the 2/4" drop on rough roads, and it even split the bump stop from wheel hop at the track.

Oh, yeah, I got some 2" drop shackles also, if you want them just PM me your address and I will ship them to you for free! My gift to you! I used them before my drop.

So has anyone noticed if it helped with traction off the line at the track? I would think that it should help, especially if you yank the front sway bar.

I've been wondering this too. I'll be facing some traction issues later on.

I'm more interested in the 2/4 drop though .... does that help a good launch?
