Does horsepower+weight=Time?

I went from 11.53 to 11.42 with just taking the tailgate off..

Too many variables, but it can give a rough idea. Many have already said, but there is just so much more than that.

like said... converter

3800lb ls1 bone stock put down 300 hp ran 8.3

3800lb camaro with stall put down 285 ran 7.70...

see what im getting at?

There can be loose calculations and estimates done, but as stated above nothing is an exact science.

As weight increases each 100 lbs added or removed makes less difference. If you remove 500 lbs from a 3k chassis you will see a lot more gain than removing 500 lbs from a 6k chassis due to the % ratio. And another thing the faster the vehical the more it is effected by + or - weight, and less by + or - hp.

I was skeptical of your statement, so I checked the wallice racing link that kbracing96 posted. After several calculations I was able to confirm that your right. I learn something new daily.
