Default Does this G-tech run sound right?

Hey gang,

Does this dound right? I bought one of those cheap $25 G-techs from ebay and did a run last night out on the highway and here's what I got.

1/4 time: 15.5
Trap speed: 95 MPH

This is on a totally stock truck with a wait4me tune. The time sounds about right to me, but the MPH sounds real high. I know for a fact when I hit the run I was actually going that fast but how accurate is the G-tech as far as measuring out the distance? Anyways, this just looked awkward is all.

My g-tech is within a few hundredths of my track times but my mph is always around 5mph faster than my track mph. I wouldn't swear by a g-tech but it is a good tuning tool.

They are not all that accurate as far as I have seen but that 1/4 time doesn't sound too far off. The mph seems a little high for me but in a rcsb I could see it doing a 15.5 fairly easily.

ya the mph sounds high. you may have to adjust the pitch correction it sould be at 0. mine runs within a couple hundredths and the mph is within 1mph

Cool

99BlAcKz71 - mind if I ask how you determined the pitch correction should be set to zero for your truck?

Thanks

Yup, before the run I dialed it it in to -.1 that's as perfect as I could get it. Then I pressed the button in and it said GO GO GO GO GO .

I think it says in the back of the owners manuel. It says that the g-tech's trap speed is always higher that the track's trap. Well, mine was lower. It says that if the g-tech's is lower than use a 0.0 pitch correction factor(see pg. 65), it also has some forulas you can use too.
