Default Differences between 99-02 1500 and 2500HD grille/bumper?

If I had a 2" body lift on my 99 1500, are a 2500HD grille and bumper cover the only things I would need to fill the gaps?

It should do a good job of it, but I have no experience with it. I know that the bumper needs to be lowered 1.5" on the 1500's to fit the grille and bumper cap, so it should look fine.

I'd say yes , the steel bumpers are the same , the bumper caps are different along with the grille obviously . So body lifting your 1500 should let the HD bumper cap fit nicely with out mods .

That will look cool ! You going to do the HD hood also ? I put one on the wife's Tahoe and love it , what a sexy hood that was !

Thanks guys! I have to do the body lift to fit the diesel cooling stack, was looking for a good way to make it look right, this seems like the ticket. Tim, i probably will do the hood if i can find one.

I'd use an aftermarket intercooler instead. All of the duramax swaps I've seen into cars and imports use them successfully. You're not going to be towing any heavy loads are you?

No towing at all, i just sold the hitch that was on it, lol. That bitch was heavy! I'll probably look at an aftermarket one eventually, first step is to get the truck running with factory equipment. Then i can upgrade as needed later.

Thanks for the membership!
I'm looking to switch my 1999 Silverado 6.0 2500HD front end to a 2001 HD front end so I can get use the HD hood. Do I need just the hood, fenders, grille, and headlights from a 2001? Or will there be more modifications, or is it even possible?
Any and all information is greatly appreciated!
