99-02 2500hd front end finished and install tips
Welp got my 2500hd parts purchased and had some time to install today took longer than I thought it would but all done and looking good. Here is some tips so you dont run into the problems I did.
First thing I knew was to cut the front bumper braket off and lower down didnt know how much this approach seemed to lengthy and a plain pain. So I just took the easier way I just cut the bracket right in the middle and lowered down to were I needed it which I did make several cuts and tac welds to get the fitment just right. 1.5 inches is what need to be cut or lowered to for good fitment. Best thing is to make several cuts and take your time or will just be a disaster. For the bottom bolts I just took the clips out of the bumper that holds the nuts for the bolts and used spacers 1.5 inches long for spacers and 2 inch long bolts
Next after the full welds on the brackets for the top bolts I was doing a more bumper fitment and found out needed to cut away on some of the core support which is aluminum so cut pretty easy with cuttn wheel. As in the image below im showing where to cut part of the metal on the bumper was making contact.
Now for the finished product. Total price of grille bumper cap plus painting bumper cap was 270 used two rattle cans of oem match for autozone and one can of primer
