My 404 gets much less gas mileage than my 5.3 did or a 6.0 did.
but would you say a 5500lb (howerver much a crew cab weights)
would a 11:1cr 5.3L or a 11:1cr 6.0L do better?
or just a stock CR 5.3l?

im trying to figure out if ima change heads on my 6.oL or pull it out and sell it?

Every time you accelerate away from a stop with those 26's on your truck, it's like towing a trailer. I know you probably don't want to hear that, but the 26's will kill your MPG's no matter what you do to the engine.

I did a compression test one both know that you reminded me.

The LS1 5.7L 224 cam had 198psi best cylinder 189psi lowest cylinder.

The LS2 6.0L 232 cam had 248 psi best cylinder 240 psi lowest cylinder.

With the 6.0 it seems to take less throttle to keep it moving or get it going. If I have the chance and find a good deal on another LS2 Imma gonna swap it in the ram. If it does anything like it did in my Camaro its just better all around.

I also want to add I went from a 11.56 @ 117 in the LS1 224 cam 3600 stall to a 10.9 @ 123 in the LS2 232 cam same stall, same gears, same everything!!

If you are after mileage I would ditch those heavy 26in rims....There are many good looking 18's out there that will prolly save you 150lbs...!!!!
