Default Clear headlights

Anyone have some recommendations for clear headlights for a 99-02 Silverado? I am unsure of where to look for them other than eGay. I have some projectors with halos with black housing but after my HD swap I think I want to switch to the clears since I think it will look nicer. Any suggestions?

A HID projector retrofit is going to require a clear lens to function properly as the stock lenses will defuse the light. Only option is the china aftermarket specials from any online retailer. Depo make a projector housing that some have used for retrofits as well.

FYI... I had some clear lens housings with a 9006 hid bulb and they had an aweful beam pattern so I did a retrofit with Morimoto Mini H1 projectors that turned out pretty good. Those are about 7-8 years old now and the lenses are yellowing beyond the point of buffing out so I bought another set to move the projectors to. I really wish someone made a true clear glass lens without the lines.

Yeah I figured that would be the case. I like the look of clears but I think it would absolutely kill all my light off. Maybe I’ll do a projector retrofit into clears when my halos go out. There are some ebay sellers that do have housings with full clear no lines.

You mean like these clear ones with no lines??? No one is going to make a true glass Lens. Too costly.

I haven't seen an OEM use them in a long time.

That depo with Morimoto project swap is awesome, did it when I first got my Tahoe and they have been fantastic since. This is the Morimoto Mini H1 projectors with 6k (I think HIDs) paired with some Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fogs. I live in the middle of no street light land and highly value good CLEAN light output, haven't been flashed by other drivers due to my lights once.

Currently have some projectors that are black housings and they just give me problems. I’m ripping them out and slapping some clears in and leaving it. Was fun and they had amazing light output but they were a massive pain in the ***.
