According to the Cadillac site, the 6.0 is standard for the AWD model Escallade and comes with a 65 tranny. The two-wheel drive model comes with a 5.3 and a 60 tranny. Wonder why the odd combination in their ad?

Norcross, GA. I found it while trying to find CTS-V's on traderonline.com.

Still might be a 4L65E. They come inside a 4L60E marked case.

Really, thats odd. How do you tell the difference?

Norcross is about 5-10 minutes from me. If I was in the market for one I would see if he would come off the price a bit.
Oh well.

The only sure way I know is to open it up and see if it has 5 pinion planetarys or 4. The pumps are different but not sure if you can tell from the outside. The input and output shafts are peened but it is hard to tell by looking at them.
