cam and stall torque converter ????

Default cam and stall torque converter ????

I'm looking to change the cam in my 5.3 suburban
but do i size the cam according to the stall converter or vise versa?

i'm am confused on this

You can do it either way, you just want them to compliment each other. Do you currently have a stock stall and Cam?

yes
i have stock converter and cam

can someone give me their opinion on this cam?

XR265HR Cam Spec:

Cam Style: Hydraulic roller tappet
Basic Operating RPM Range: 1,500-6,800 RPM
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 212
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 218
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 212 int./218 exh.

Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.558 in.

Lobe Separation (degrees): 115

Comp Cams 212/218 LSx Cam "HIGH LIFT"

id say get it.... its a great cam for heavyer trucks. that and a 3000-3200 stall with a big cooler

Thats a very good torque cam. As for the converter, depends on what you do with and what you want out of your truck. Do you tow? how much? what is the primary purpose of the truck?
