I feel that a cage that impeedes storage behind the seat, entering and exiting the truck, and a plexiglass rear window makes something no longer a true usable daily driver. I'm a firm believer that if you have something fast enough for a cage and intend on driving it that fast then why didn't you start with something lighter weight. You might think i'm the pot calling the kettle black with my set-up but I have full intentions on mine being my work commuter and dirt hauler as it was before. But everyone has their own opinion of what a daily driver is so take it as that.
A cage is a must in a race car/truck. This is coming from someone who flipped 6 times end over end at the track and if it wasn't for a cage, 5 point harness and helment I would not be here today.
If you are going to go to the track very often and you plan on breaking into the 10's on a regular basis, then cage it and park it for weekend cruising/racing. If you will not frequent the track but a few times a year then just dodge the rules the best you can. That's my .02

Since thats the case, I'd run the stock interior. I like sleepers, but since your truck probably isn't much of a sleeper go for what you want.
The only problem with our trucks is: that for the door bar to be "legal" it has to pass between your shoulder and elbow on its way to the floor. Our seats are way up in the air and making the bar do that would make ease of entry pretty hard from loking at pics. I think thats why Parish's bar is lower.

That Dakota Had a 440 in with that big *** lift kit. Stomped it off the line and it started smoking the tires. Guy though he was John Force and never lifted. Spun all way way to about the 330 mark and it started fishtailing and it hooked left (from the right lane)heading strait toward the wall. Slammed into, shot up into the air and over the wall landing on the roof. The guy was ok, took him to the hospital to check him out but released him later that day. There was just enough room for his head to stick out where the back window was.

SO WHERE DO WE GET A 6 POINT CAGE? I think I seen one in the summit or jegs catilog for a c10. I am shure you would need to modify it to fit. It's just too expensive to have one custom built. But I have a fealing Quick has the hook up.
