Default A/c question 95 Gmc c3500

I am thinking about buying a 95 Crew cab c3500 diesel truck and it was a old state truck. My question is that the truck does not have A/C so would it be worth buying the parts needed and install it in there? Can it be done or would it be a lost cause? Let me know thanks

depends...

If it is the entire AC system then no.

But..

If all you need is a compressor then yes.

Go to any parts store or even look it up online and see what you will need for an entire ac system for your truck and the prices. its not cheap! Yes again you can always go to a junkyard for parts but what is reliable about that?

I know it won't be cheap but I prob will just leave without A/C and just tow a trailer with it. Do they make a A/C units for under the dash like the old school trucks?
