Default A/C help...

my 2004 has a digital dual climate control for the a/c, every once in a while only passenger side will blow some cold a/c and the driver side will blow hot air or vise-versa,... its done this about 4x now in the past month....

what can be causing this? maybe i need to change the digital dual climate control unit?

thanks..

The blend door actuators are known to fail and will cause the symptoms you describe. If you search this section for "actuator" you'll probably find a bunch of info about them, and possibly a pn. I believe that Torque_Wrench has posted some actuator info...

I know both silverados i've had will mess up kinda like that. if im driving and turn it to heat a little then if i turn it back to cold it will not go back to cold. i found that turning it off and back on it resets or something and goes to cold( i even do this while on the highway, just let it coast for about 10 seconds)

mine does that ever so often. . . . I know that it has something to do with the blending doors, but that's it.

Turning off the truck, and restarting it takes care of it for now.
