**** i'm going to try a front bumper like that just have to hide a piece of tubing in there for safety. I might us thick plastic though so i can run a skid underneath a ways. Some good protection in the snow or if i ever go to the dunes....something like this. I could run smaller trees over w it.

couple ideas i suggest:
shave some weight off the hood with the hole saw you used on the bed (think of every hole you drill as an increase in HP also will have a cooling effect on the motor).
Ditch the side glass and buy some lexan from the hardware store for the windows, even put a removable net like in NASCAR on the driver-side door (in case of a accident where you cannot open the door)
Trim the bed up some more, its just for looks at this point. every pound you drop is hp you can pick up. if you can cut it out and replace it with wood and lag-screws....do it (***** light)
I typically cut the steering wheel up and only leave the two handles at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions, this will lighten it substantially and give it a more "racy" feel.
Gut the interior. that's dead weight.. power windows are for *****'s, same with auto door locks. ditch the climate control, that's untapped horsepower right there.

I just need heat this winter.
I am gutting both pass doors front windows getting glued.
I can get an aluminum ls1 vette block for $500.
No speed holes in the hood unless i had a die to put nice stamped circles in aluminum sheet like the pikes peak cars. All the trimming will be underneath.
A good sand blast of the wheel wells will shed some weight. By blowing all the rust off. Dont think the strip would like flakes falling off the floppy 1/4's.
I'm getting laid off soon & jumping back on the assembly line at my buddys powder coating company. Just for freebies & my motorcycles.

Sooo, to recap the thread. You bought a functioning $1000 truck. A truck someone could use to make money with. And now you are going to turn it into a steaming pile of ****.
Also liked the 10 sec s10 with bolt ons and nitrous post.
