Just purchased a stand alone fuel regulating system. I'll replace my battery w that. Is there anywhere safer ppl put those?
Battery is going right over the axle. Which wheel well side should i put it on? Dont know racing, just have an itch & heavy foot.
Just for everyones info. I've never been down a drag strip. Been watching for years & even worked at PA international speedway.
So this truck is going to be a bought not built project. W a lil hands on hacking.

My bro says stop & buy a. S-10 i could hit 10's w bolt ons & 100 shot. But i need this truck for winter. Everythings going on in the spring. So i'll keep posting pics of my parts purchases.

My list of things to do for me-
Lighten front bumper-
Remove front sway bar-
Remove ac-
Hood latch/pin hood-
Lighten hood by removing material from underside outer edge keep center reinforcements-
Rear slider window replace w lexan after cage-
Air bag removal-looking for light steering wheel for a truck-
Kirkey racing seat-
3rd door going to weld on & gut it completely leaving only the latch for front door-
Pass door gut/ glue window up-
Been researching dif mirrors but no luck-
I want to get aluminum & replace back of cab under rear window & front of bed between 1/4's w big sheets.

Now i just need to get a loan for a level 7 trans so i dont have to think it. I'm a chevy guy. So if i buy 1 its going to def make me keep buying LS vehicles.

It's only power robbing if you consider 6HP to be a major loss. With the 4.10 axle you won't really even notice the taller 1st gear. You want the closer ratios for a drag vehicle.
