broke motor pics..

Default broke motor pics..

So I finally got the old 5.3 torn down, and took some pics. For those that don't know, I hydrolocked it a few months back.
here was the first clue something was wrong.

the second, this came out of the oil pan.



I swear I didn't put that there, it was like that when I pulled the tray off.

notice anything funny about that piston? Not the crack though it, or the nicks..


at least the heads are still good

Looks like the dot on the piston is at the top. It should be toward the front.

yep that could cause some oil consumption problems but the bitch should still run

yep, took me a minuteor two to get past the crack, but then when I did, I knew something was wrong.. lol

haha, I think it would have, but the wrist pin and rod piece locked the motor down so it wouldn't turn over.. lol I tried to start it back, but it wouldn't.. haha

as for what happened, I drove through a big puddle of water at WOT, and it sucked a bunch of water in it.. lol inspection holes...
