I need to know what is the bolt size that goes into the back of the block, where the transmission bolts to the block? Anyone know the size of the thread that is needed?

Can't remember the length and diameter but its standard thread.
Just go to the dealer and get some new ones. Personally I like the factory bolts better because they'll stay in your socket easier.

 

will the ones from the stealership be long enough?

 

They should be. those are the bolts that go to it.
Plus they'll have the extra threaded stud on the ends so you don't have to take the bolt out to unbolt your dipstick

yes. Your transmission bellhousing bolts have threaded studs on them. Usually your Trans dipstick tube is bolted onto the bellhousing. These studs allow you to just undo a nut instead of the entire bolt. and as i mentioned earlier. that stud helps the bolts stay put in a deep socket when trying to put them back in.

 

Or are you just needing bolts to mount the engine to a stand?

Checked and they are 3/8 diameter. standard thread. you'll want the length to fit the thickness of your stand plus maybe another 3/4-1"

 

Oooppps that is my fault on that one, so you are saying 3/8 standard thread?
