Default Best place for 03-06 Silvy front end swap?

I'm really wanting to swap my 01 Silverado to an 03-06 front end. I called the local salvage yard and they want $2k for the front clip (no engine). Sounds high as hell to me. What do they go for and where can I find the odds and ends?

That's around right priced for one. But you can probably buy all the parts you need new for about that much. And find one in a salvage yard for all of the little odd and end bumper brackets etc.

Ill bought a whole aftermarket clip for around 1200 with the ss bumper, if I still had the truck and had to do it all over again i would of paid the extra for genuine gm parts

No, not free. I was thinking 1k- 1200. I didn't think prices would start at $2k.

How about an '04 Escalade front end? Might be able to cut this guy a deal. He's had it for a while now.
