Line-X or Rhino for a bed liner?

 

Both are Reputable. I went with Line-X because they are local. Still looks new about a year later.

 

Depends what your going to use the bed for , i don't haul dirt or rocks , so i have bed rug

 

My truck has had a rhino liner for 5 years and it still looks good.

 

it also depends on the applicator, and whether or not they do good prep work

i live 15 miles away from(in country) 3 towns and one has a line-x shop and another has a spray-in liner place ( trex) just a local outfit NOT national and the trex place is the best around and the linex place is bad. i have seen and heard of tons of people going there and their liner starts peeling in about a year ( right after the warranty is over,, how ironic)

IMO all the big name spray-in liner places has top quality product but how it is applied all depends on your local applicator

 

They are really two different types of materials and when they are applied correctly they are both excellent. I would first make sure you find a good place to do the install and decide which one you like the looks of better. I found when I was looking around there are a ton more companies out there also making excellent products and if you find a good one local they can be much cheaper. The brand I am looking at getting is called Gatorhyde. It is similar to the Line-x stuff, but at least one place I looked into the price was around $200 cheaper.

I just checked on the Gatorhyde website and there are a couple of installers in your area. One is called Roadrunner Restorations and Liners its in Rockwell and the other is called Ultimate Road Gear it is in Kaufman. Can't hurt to check them out and see what their prices are.

The Line X has a nation wide lifetime warranty. So if the place goes out of business, the next closest dealer will still warranty it. Where do you get the 1 yr from?

 

thats what the dealer told some customers ( hearsay) that they wouldnt warranty it after a year

 

Thats not true, unless they arent really a Line X dealer or using LineX products or something else shadey.. I had a problem with mine and the dealer had went out of business. I called the LineX 1800# and they put me in contact with the next closest dealer. If you need that 1800 # let me know and I ll get it for you.
